HPAT Foundations
A structured introduction to the HPAT — designed for students starting early
HPAT Foundations is an introductory course for students who want to gain an early understanding of the exam, without the intensity of full exam preparation. The course introduces the core skills assessed in the HPAT (logical reasoning, problem-solving, interpersonal understanding and non-verbal reasoning) and explains how these skills are tested, developed, and refined over time.
HPAT Foundations is designed to help students understand what the HPAT involves, become familiar with HPAT-style questions, develop confidence with the style of thinking required, and make informed decisions about future preparation.
Students who later enrol in a full Ace the HPAT course can offset the €75 HPAT Foundations fee against the cost of that course. HPAT Foundations is designed to support a gradual, thoughtful pathway into HPAT preparation, rather than rushing students into intensive study too early.
What the course includes
- 10 introductory video lessons covering the structure and purpose of each HPAT section
- Four full-length HPAT-style exams, with worked solutions
- Guided examples demonstrating how HPAT questions are approached and analysed
- On-demand access, allowing students to work at their own pace
The focus is on understanding how the HPAT works, rather than mastering exam technique.
Progressing to the full course
HPAT Foundations is not designed for students sitting the HPAT in the coming year.
